Patricia Neal really had a supporting role in the film, but when she kept winning "Best Actress" awards all over the world for her role, apparently the Academy members chose to nominate her in the 'Best Actress' category. I would have voted for Rachel Roberts second, Leslie Caron third, Shirley MacLaine fourth and Natalie Wood. Wood was much better in SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS. Two ex-girlfriends of Warren Beatty plus his sister to boot. What a GUY!
