Gotta love Olivia, and this movie was great fun. In addition to Gene Kelly, the hunk of yesteryear, this is quite the zany romp. My best guess is Olivia will be showered with praise since the Broadway show and the movie cult club have made Xanadu a smash.

This may sound strange. . .but I sometimes wonder which came first; the soundtrack or the script. Because it's almost like they tried to write a movie around the tracks. The songs were definitely better planned than the film. In some ways, I see potential but it's like the makers were so excited about their concept that they didn't bother to work on the planning to pull it off.

I feel bad for Beck, he probably just wanted to branch out in his acting style and try something new so he wouldn't be clumped into just an actiony type of actor. I wish it didn't bomb so bad since hes really pretty good.
